Firefighters first responded to the blaze at 8:55 a.m. at 1600 Webster St., fire officials said on Twitter.
The fire was under control by 9:02 a.m., according to fire officials.
The fire was reportedly in a stairwell on the building’s fourth floor. No injuries were reported and no one has been displaced, fire officials said.
