A body was found inside the San Francisco Muni Metro system on the trackway Wednesday afternoon, according to San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency spokesperson Paul Rose.
The body was found near the inbound tunnel before Church Station inside the subway. The transit agency was aware of the body inside the subway around 3:00 p.m., said Rose.
Rose said the San Francisco Police Department at the SFMTA are working together to pull footage from the subway.
The SFMTA said it is running shuttle buses between West Portal and Van Ness stations.
No further details were given about the incident.
As of 9:28 p.m., the Church Station was cleared and regular Muni Metro serviced resumed.
