A woman riding a skateboard is in critical condition after suffering potentially life-threatening injuries in a collision with a vehicle in Vallejo Monday afternoon, according to police.
The victim, a 32-year-old resident of Vallejo, was struck around 3:23 p.m. on Sonoma Boulevard at the intersection of Georgia Street, police said.
Fire department medics treated the woman at the scene and prepared her for transport to the John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, firefighters said.
The vehicle remained at the scene and Vallejo police are investigating the incident. Anyone with additional information is asked to call investigators at (707) 649-3569.
