A bicyclist suffered serious injuries when he lost control while going down a hill and struck a house in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Wednesday night, police said.
The crash was reported around 9:20 p.m. near Mendell Street and Hudson Avenue.
The bicyclist, a 44-year-old man, was going at a high rate of speed down the hill when he lost control, went off the road and hit a house, according to police.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for a skull fracture and brain hemorrhaging, injuries considered life-threatening, police said.
The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet when he crashed, police said.
