Police on Thursday found the body of a 34-year-old man at a bus stop in Richmond, a police sergeant said Friday.
There were no indications of foul play, Richmond police Sgt. Nicole Abetkov said.
A Contra Costa County coroner’s deputy identified the dead man as Craig Taylor, who has lived in various locations throughout the state.
Officers were called around 7 p.m. to a bus stop in the 900 block of 23rd Street, Abetkov said:
“We got there and it appeared he had been there for a little bit. … (He) was found sitting on a bus stop, unresponsive.”
There was no apparent criminal activity and nothing suspicious about the death, Abetkov said.
As of Friday afternoon, a corner’s deputy said an autopsy had not yet been performed and deputies would investigate the cause of death.
