Novato police seek serial tire slasher

Police responded to a report around 8 a.m. of a vehicle with slashed tires in the 1000 block of Fourth Street, Novato police Sgt. Nick Frey said. Upon arrival, officers saw that a number of other vehicles parked along the east side of the roadway also had their tires slashed.
As of around 9 p.m., Frey said more than 20 vehicles had been identified as having been vandalized.
One resident reported hearing a loud noise at approximately 5:30 a.m., but police said the specific time of the incident is unknown.
Frey said no suspects had been identified as of Saturday evening, but police are actively investigating the case.
