Officers were notified of a person who drove their motorcycle to the bridge on state Highway 160 and stopped at about 10:25 a.m., CHP Officer Ron Simmons said.
UPDATE 2:40 p.m. Bridge jumper attempted same plunge last month.The person was involved in an incident in Pittsburg before entering the bridge, according to Simmons.
Officers from the CHP and Oakley police were able to talk to the person, who was taken into custody, he said.
Northbound lanes of Highway 160 on the bridge were closed until shortly after 11 a.m., Simmons said.
