Salinas police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a teenage girl missing since Christmas Eve, a police commander said today.
Stephanie Alexia Arciniega, 14, was last seen leaving her home in Salinas on Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m. and her family hasn’t heard from her since then, Salinas police Cmdr. Henry Gomez said.
It was initially reported that she ran away but as of today her family believes that may not be the case and she might be held against her will, Gomez said.
Stephanie is described as a Hispanic girl standing about 5 feet tall and roughly 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, according to Gomez.
She was last seen wearing a pink tank top and pink sweatpants, he said.
Her family suspects she might be in Gilroy or San Jose, according to Gomez.
Anyone with information on Stephanie’s whereabouts is asked to call their local police agency or Salinas police at (831) 758-7321.
