Public transit guide to Taylor Swift Levi’s Stadium concerts

Bay Area transit agencies will try to avoid any bad blood with Taylor Swift fans this week as Swift brings The Eras Tour to Levi’s Stadium.

The 12-time Grammy winning pop star will perform sold-out shows Friday and Saturday nights at Levi’s Stadium and transit agencies are delicately reminding Swifites they can arrive in style by taking BART, Caltrain and the Santa Clara Transportation Authority.

Fans taking BART can get off at Milpitas station then transfer to the VTA’s Orange line to Great America station, just north of Levi’s. BART said they will staff extra security as well as parking lot escorts after midnight for passengers who drove and parked at one of the BART parking lots.

BART said they will run special late-night limited stop service from the Milpitas station to four East Bay stations on both nights to ensure Swift fans are able to get home once the concert ends. Two special event service BART trains will stops from the Milpitas station to the following East Bay stations:

• Bay Fair
• MacArthur
• Pleasant Hill
• El Cerrito del Norte

Swifties should be at the Milpitas station around 12:20 a.m. as trains will depart the station around 12:30 a.m. The trains will be labeled as “Limited Stop to El Cerrito and Limited Stop to Pleasant Hill.”

For fans who need not to travel far, VTA said they will provide additional light rail and bus service up to one hour after the concert ends.

Caltrain is another public transit choice for Swifties to get to Levi’s Stadium. Fans can take Caltrain to Mountain View and connect with the VTA Orange line.

Additionally, fans who need to take Caltrain home from the concert can calm down about missing any final train. Caltrain said they will provide post-concert northbound service from Mountain View and San Francisco 75 minutes after the end of the concert as well as post-concert southbound service from Mountain View to San Jose Diridon/Tamien.

The Capital Corridor is also adjusting its schedule to get concertgoers to Levi’s Stadium from Sacramento on both concert nights.

Fans of the pop singer have made taking public transit to her concerts a thing and transit systems have seen boosts in ridership figures across the nation.

One thing that won’t be happening during her two-day stop at Levi’s Stadium is tailgating.

Officials put out on a tweet that tailgating will not be allowed during both concerts and that there will be no designed area outside of Levi’s Stadium to view the concerts.
