Tears of joy from NBA Finals MVP Stephen Curry after Golden State’s 103-90 win over Boston were followed by fireworks, dancing, spontaneous sideshows, and street partying well into the night in San Francisco. Thousands of No. 30 jerseys roamed and celebrated around The City as fans poured out of Chase Center, bars, and their living rooms.
The Mission customarily brimmed with exuberant fans decked in Warriors blue and gold, hanging out of cars and low riders and shutting down Mission Street in one of The City’s longest-standing championship traditions.
The celebration is expected to spill into Monday, when Golden State’s second-ever championship parade in San Francisco will draw thousands to Market Street for the 11:20 a.m. parade from Main to 6th Streets.
