San Francisco police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a scooter rider Sunday night in the Tenderloin neighborhood.
Police said officers arrived at the intersection of Turk and Taylor streets around 8:31 p.m. on a report of a motor vehicle collision. Officers found a 25-year-old female victim and rendered aid. Medics arrived shortly after and transported the victim to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The victim was riding a scooter when hit by a vehicle, whose driver fled the scene, police said.
Officer Kathryn Winters said the incident remains an open and active investigation.
