Two dead, one missing after car plunges into ocean at Pescadero State Beach

Cal Fire said Saturday morning that two people were found dead after a car plunged into the ocean at Pescadero State Beach in San Mateo County.

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching the waters for a third victim.

In a photo shared by Cal Fire, the car can be seen half submerged in water at the base of a rocky hillside.

Several agencies joined Cal Fire’s response effort, including La Honda and Loma Mar fire departments, San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, San Mateo County Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, the Coast Guard and California State Parks.
