San Jose stabbing leaves man dead, woman injured

A midnight stabbing in San Jose Sunday left one man dead and a woman injured, police said.

Officers responded at 12:06 a.m. to the 2000 block of Gold Street on reports of a stabbing and located a man and a woman suffering from stab wounds.

The man died at the scene, and the woman has been hospitalized. Her condition is unknown.

The identity of the man will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office following notification of next of kin, according to police.

Police said the motive and circumstances are under investigation.

This is the city’s second homicide of the year.
