Outdoor lovers can not only camp within the city of San Francisco, they will soon be able to reserve a campsite online.
The Presidio’s Rob Hill Campground, one of only two campgrounds in The City, will be available for online reservations for the first time beginning Monday. There is even a mobile app, available at recreation.gov/mobile-app.
Nestled in a secluded, 4-acre forest with views of the Pacific Ocean and just a short walk from the Golden Gate Bridge, the campground offers a one-of-a-kind national park experience.
Camping fees for 2022 begin at $87 Sunday through Thursday nights and climb to $132 on Fridays and Saturdays, according to the reservations website.
Presidio Trust visitor services manager Andrea Parker said:
We’re happy to welcome visitors to enjoy another season of great camping experiences in the Presidio. … It’s especially exciting to see Rob Hill join the list of other national park campgrounds serviced by Recreation.gov, for real-time online reservations.”
