Man fatally stabbed outside Sixth Street residential hotel

San Francisco police are investigating a stabbing that left one man dead Tuesday morning in The City’s South of Market neighborhood.

The stabbing happened just after 8 a.m. in the first block of Sixth Street, in front of a single room occupancy hotel, police said.

Police have released few details about the fatal stabbing and have not announced any arrest in the case.

Anyone with information about the fatal stabbing is asked to call the Police Department’s 24-hour anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with “SFPD.”
