Surfer rescued by firefighters near Crissy Field

The San Francisco Fire Department said it helped rescued a surfer in distress near Crissy Field in San Francisco Sunday afternoon.

The department sent a rescue boat around 1:30 p.m. to take the individual to shore, and the person is expected to be fine.
