Several downtown Danville streets will close Friday afternoon and evening for the annual lighting of the Old Oak Tree, police said.
Street closures will run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to police.
The traditional event is back in person this year and will take place rain or shine. The evening program starts at 5:15 p.m. on Diablo Road and is due to conclude by 8 p.m., police said.
Motorists are asked to expect delays and exercise caution.
Every November, the town gathers on Diablo Road at the base of the tree to celebrate the annual tree-lighting ceremony.
