A 4-month-old child was found safe after being inside a vehicle that was stolen in Concord on Thursday night, police said.
The theft was reported shortly after 10 p.m. in the 5400 block of Ygnacio Valley Road near Clayton Road and prompted a search by neighboring law enforcement agencies including the use of air support and a police K-9.
The child was found within 30 minutes still in the vehicle and unharmed on Garaventa Drive, police said.
No arrest has been made and no suspect description has been released by Concord police. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Sgt. Scott Smith at (925) 671-5074.
