Lawrence Hall of Science reopens doors just in time for Halloween fun

The University of California, Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science is reopening this weekend for some spooky Halloween fun after a 19-month Covid-19 shutdown.

Visitors are encouraged to come in costume to celebrate Halloween on Saturday and Sunday with hands-on science exhibits, pumpkin catapulting and creepy critters.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Halloween activities are free with admission. Costumed visitors get free tickets to the 3D Theater. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the door. General admission is $20 for ages 3 and up. Children ages 2 and younger receive free admission.

The Lawrence Hall of Science is located at 1 Centennial Drive, Berkeley. The museum does require visitors to wear face masks as a Covid-19 precaution.
