Vallejo shooting takes life of 31-year-old man

A 31-year-old man died in a shooting early Thursday morning in Vallejo, police said.

Officers responded at 3:08 a.m. to a report of a person down in the area of Meadows Drive near Sonoma Boulevard and found the victim, who had suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The name of the victim has not been released and police have not made any arrest in the killing, which is Vallejo’s 15th homicide of 2021.
