Bayview shooting victim says gunfire came from vehicle

A man was injured in a shooting early Thursday morning in San Francisco’s Bayview District, police said.

The shooting was reported at 3:14 a.m. in the 2500 block of Ingalls Street, where the victim heard gunshots come from a vehicle and then realized he had been shot, according to police.

He was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.

Police have not made an arrest or released any detailed descriptions of the suspect or vehicle. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Police Department’s tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” at the start of the message.
