A grand jury in San Francisco has charged a man with 10 felonies in connection with the Feb. 6 carjacking of a delivery driver’s vehicle and kidnapping of the driver’s two children who were inside.
The man was indicted Wednesday in federal court on a dozen charges, including multiple counts of kidnapping, as well as carjacking and robbery.
When he was taken into custody Feb. 17, the 27-year-old man was the second suspect arrested in connection to the kidnapping. Another 25-year-old man was apprehended Feb. 10.
The kidnapping happened as DoorDash worker Jeffrey Fang was making a food delivery, leaving his car momentarily with the engine running in the 2100 block of Jackson Street, with his two young children inside.
The children, who were just 1 and 4 years old at the time, were located four hours later when the car was found abandoned in the Bayview District.
