More than 11,000 Bay Area customers still without power after overnight rain, wind

PG&E crews are slowly restoring power to several thousand customers around the Bay Area. More than 11,000 customers are still without power late Monday morning. While some outages were planned, the vast majority were not.

The largest outage from the weather occurred in San Mateo, where 6,770 customers were without power as of 2:45 a.m. Monday. The number has since been reduced to less than 5,400.

According to PG&E’s outage map, the agency estimates restoration by noon Monday for some customers, but no time has been given for several locations.

As of 9:40 a.m., PG&E reports the following outages:

  • Alameda County: 3,805 customers
  • Contra Costa County: 796 customers
  • Marin County: 1 customers
  • Napa County: 153 customers
  • San Francisco: 95 customers
  • San Mateo County: 5,351 customers
  • Santa Clara County: 130 customers
  • Solano County: 614 customers customers
  • Sonoma County: 94 customers

Dozens of communities around the Bay Area are experiencing outages impacting fewer than 1,000 customers each.
