Attorneys painted starkly different pictures of PG&E and their oversight over natural gas infrastructure during closing arguments of a federal criminal trial on charges of violating a pipeline safety law.
A power outage affecting more than 6,000 PG&E customers in Marin County on Wednesday morning was caused by a bird that flew into electrical equipment, according to the utility.
The outage was reported at 6:35 a.m., impacting an estimated 6,249 customers in areas of San Rafael, San Anselmo, Ross, Fairfax and Kentfield.
Crews responded and restored power to everyone in about three hours and determined a large bird had flown into electrical equipment, PG&E officials said.
No other details about the outage were immediately released by the utility.
