El Sobrante shooting leaves two men injured

Two men were shot Sunday in the unincorporated Contra Costa County community of El Sobrante but survived the attack, according to sheriff’s office officials.

Just before 6:30 p.m., deputies were sent to the 5300 block of D Avila Way to investigate reports of a shooting.

When they arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds and provided medical aid until a fire crew and an ambulance showed up, sheriff’s officials said.

The men were taken to the hospital and were listed in stable condition.
