Police make arrest in fatal shooting of San Jose homeless man

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the fatal shooting of a homeless man found dead along a creek trail near San Jose’s Happy Hallow Park and Zoo last weekend, police said Thursday.

Officers responded shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday to reports of a body discovered in the area of Story Road and Remillard Court, according to San Jose police.

The name of the victim, a homeless man living in the area, has not yet been released by the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.
