Police in Oakland are asking the public’s help in finding two missing women in seemingly unrelated cases.
Ariella Rosenberg, 23, has been missing since Sept. 15 when she was last seen in the 7200 block of MacArthur Boulevard. Police said she was wearing a turquoise headband, yellow shirt, black pants and carrying a black box-shaped purse. Rosenberg is considered at-risk.
Rosenberg is described as Latina with a light complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs about 125 pounds and is considered physically healthy, though her family reports she has mental challenges, police said.
In a separate missing person case reported early Sunday morning, police said 18-year-old Carmen Miller, a Marysville resident, was last heard from late Saturday. Police suspect she may be a victim of human trafficking and is staying in a hotel near MacArthur Boulevard.
Miller has brown-red hair and green eyes, stands 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds. Her family said she is in good physical condition but does have mild autism and Asperger’s syndrome.
Anyone with information about Rosenberg’s or Miller’s whereabouts is asked to call the Oakland Police Department’s missing persons unit at (510) 238-3641.
UPDATE: Oakland police report that both women have been safely located.
