USS Hornet Museum to honor Hispanic, Latino American contributions to Navy

The USS Hornet Museum is honoring Hispanic Heritage Month as it creates a special exhibit honoring Hispanic Americans who have served in the U.S. Navy.

The exhibit will be installed Sept. 24 and will be available to view Sept. 24 through Sept. 27. The exhibit will utilize information provided by the Navy History and Heritage Command.

National Hispanic Heritage Month began Sept. 15 and runs through Oct. 15 in the U.S. and recognizes the contributions and influence of Latino and Hispanic Americans to the history, culture and achievements of the United States.

The USS Hornet Museum is located at 707 West Hornet Ave., Alameda.

This exhibit is at no additional charge of the regular daily admission to visit the museum.
