Hayward man dies at scene of East Oakland shooting

A Hayward man is dead from wounds he suffered in a shooting Thursday afternoon in East Oakland, police said Friday.

Officers responded just after 3:45 p.m. to the 2400 block of 57th Avenue after someone reported a shooting.

When officers arrived, they located the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to police. The man died where paramedics were treating him, police said.

The name of the victim is not being released now.
