Police suspect 15-year-old boy of fatally shooting family member

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting a female family member in San Jose on Wednesday evening, according to police.

Officers had responded to a shooting reported at 7:57 p.m. to the 2700 block of Story Road and arrived to find a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead and her name has not been released.

The 15-year-old was arrested at the scene and booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of manslaughter, police said.
