Police ask for public help to find missing Berkeley boy

An 11-year-old boy went missing from Berkeley on Wednesday morning and police are asking for help locating him, police said.

Jari Clay is about 5 feet 2 inches tall and 68 pounds. He may be wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with some light blue tie-dye on it, black jeans and cream-colored shoes, according to police.

Jari was last seen around the 2500 block of Telegraph Avenue and is known to go frequently to Emerson Elementary School, police said. He’s also familiar with Malcom X Elementary School and the King Child Development Center at 1939 Ward St.

Jari may be on his way to Oakland, according to police.
