Marin County fire crews have 90 percent containment on a wildfire that started Wednesday afternoon in the Lucas Valley area, county fire officials said Thursday morning.
As of shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday, the fire had burned 44 acres and firefighters remained at the scene to continue mop-up of the fire and to reach full containment.
Crews first responded around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to the blaze near Mt. Lassen Road. Evacuations were ordered for residents in the area but those orders were later downgraded to warnings, according to the county.
