A shooting in Oakland on Monday afternoon left one person dead, police said.
Officers responded around 1 p.m. to the shooting reported in the 2200 block of East 22nd Street and found evidence of shots fired, then learned a victim had arrived at a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.
The victim, whose name was not immediately available, died at the hospital.
Oakland police have not announced any arrest or released any suspect information in connection with the killing. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the department’s homicide section at (510) 238-3821.
