Turk Street shooting leaves one dead, another injured

Police in San Francisco are investigating a Friday night shooting in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood that left one man injured and another dead.

Officers responded to the shooting around 11:40 p.m. in the 300 block of Turk Street, where they found the two victims, according to police.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

The city’s medical examiner’s office is working to identify the person who died.

The shooter fled the scene before officers arrived.
