Search continues for man missing from Antioch convalescent home

Police in Antioch are looking for the public’s help in locating an at-risk man missing since Friday afternoon.

Ramon Fernandez, 84, was reported missing Friday at around 1 p.m. from the Antioch Convalescent Hospital at 1210 A Street, according to the Antioch Police Department.

Fernandez was last seen wearing a blue and white plaid jacket, a blue shirt and blue jeans.

Police said he suffers from several medical issues including dementia, typically uses a wheelchair and only speaks Spanish.  

According to police Saturday, more than 45 volunteers are helping in the search and rescue effort.
