Crews ‘mitigate’ gas leak after car crashes into Bayview home

Firefighters in San Francisco responded Monday morning to the city’s Bayview neighborhood, where a car ran into a house, resulting in a gas leak.

The car hit a home in the 3100 block of Jennings Street, the San Francisco Fire Department said on social media about 7:45 a.m.

No injuries were reported, fire officials said. Residents of the home were evacuated and the surrounding block was closed to traffic, according to the fire department.

PG&E crews responded to assist and fire officials said the incident was mitigated and the gas shut off shortly at 8:11 a.m.
