Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in Vallejo

A 26-year-old Redwood City man died early Tuesday in Vallejo after being struck by a vehicle.

Vallejo police responded to a 5:15 a.m. report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision in the area of Sonoma Boulevard and Lewis Brown Drive.

Police found the man lying in the road. Emergency responders from Vallejo Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian stopped and cooperated with the investigation. They said drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the collision.

It marks Vallejo’s eighth traffic fatality in 2021.
