Morgan Hill homicide investigators are looking for a suspect in the fatal shooting a 33-year-old Morgan Hill man Monday night.
Officers were called to the intersection of Monterey Road and Spring Avenue around 9:03 p.m. on a report of person down on the ground. Upon arrival, they located the gunshot victim deceased in the roadway.
Police determined the victim was walking southbound on Monterey Road and was approached by one or more suspects. Investigators believe the victim was shot at some point during that interaction, which they described as an isolated incident.
The victim’s identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
This is the city’s second homicide of 2021.
