Orinda police ask residents near police activity to shelter, lock up

Police in Orinda are asking residents living near Altamount Drive and La Cresta Road to shelter in place or avoid the area on Monday afternoon due to police activity.

Information about the nature of the police activity was not released.

Residents are asked to stay inside and lock all windows and doors, police said in an email alert sent at 11:50 a.m.

Anyone who sees suspicious activity is asked to call 911.
