The northbound direction of El Camino Real at Campbell Avenue in Santa Clara is closed Monday morning due to a gas leak, police said.
Police and fire were at the scene, police said in an advisory sent out at 11:30 a.m. asking motorists to avoid the area.
The scene is near several Santa Clara University athletic fields and a campus library.
