Firefighters stop forward progress on San Jose vegetation burn

Firefighters stopped the forward progress of a vegetation fire in San Jose Monday evening, fire officials said.

As of just after 5 p.m., crews had stopped the progress of the fire burning near 100 Skyway Drive.

No one was injured and no structures were damaged, according to fire officials.

An estimated 1.5 acres had burned late Monday afternoon in fuels that were being driven by the wind.
