San Joaquin County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man in Stockton Wednesday after finding multiple explosives and weapons in his residence.
Deputies assigned to the sheriff’s civil division said they showed up to the 2100 block of East Stewart Street to serve a restraining order with a move-out order at the home.
Deputies said a man, whose name hasn’t been released, became combative with deputies and was arrested.
After entering the home, deputies found several booby trap-type explosive devices along with various weapons.
The Explosive Ordnance Detonation team was dispatched to the scene and several blocks in the surrounding area were evacuated due to the explosives found in the home.
The suspect was taken to a hospital for medical clearance and will be booked into San Joaquin County Jail after being medically cleared.
Deputies are asking residents to stay out of the evacuated areas.
