Cal Fire officials said they have contained a wildfire within the footprint of last year’s CZU Lightning Complex area at 7.5 acres as of Monday afternoon.
Cal Fire and assisting agencies responded to reports of smoke near China Grade Road and the N Butano Truck Trail around 9:30 a.m. The slow-spreading Grade Fire had burned 5 acres by nearly 11 a.m., fire officials said.
Officials said the fire was contained around 12:30 p.m. and crews were mopping up the burn area.
