Woman allegedly punches students, teacher before vandalizing Santa Rosa classroom

Police arrested a 48-year-old woman suspected of punching students and a teacher Wednesday morning at a Santa Rosa school.

Eva Lady, of Santa Rosa, was spotted by school staff at Pivot Charter School about 9 a.m. when she walked onto the campus at 2999 Cleveland Ave.

The staffers tried to confront Lady but she ignored them and walked into a classroom, where she allegedly assaulted two students and a teacher, police said. The victims were not seriously injured, police said.

School employees evacuated students and locked the suspect inside the classroom. She then allegedly vandalized desks, electronics and storage areas, causing an estimated $1,000 in damage.

When officers entered the classroom, the suspect was screaming and taking off her clothes, police said.

Lady was arrested on suspicion of battery, felony vandalism and willful cruelty to a child. She was booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
