San Francisco police are investigating a hit-and-run in the Richmond District that resulted in a pedestrian death, police said Monday.
Officers arrived at the scene of the crash at 12:20 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Geary and Park Presidio boulevards and located a 28-year-old victim in the roadway. Officers called medics who attempted to revive the victim, but he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene, said Officer Adam Lobsinger.
The City’s Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Kenneth McLeod of San Francisco.
Authorities said Tuesday the suspect was possibly driving a dark-colored Mini Cooper convertible and was traveling northbound on Park Presidio when the pedestrian was struck in a crosswalk. The suspect fled the scene.
