The U.S. Geological Survey reported a magnitude 4.0 earthquake in the Anderson Springs area of Sonoma County just before noon Monday.
The magnitude was originally reported as a 4.2 but was later downgraded by USGS.
The quake struck about 1.9 miles southwest of Anderson Springs.
Sonoma County has seen substantial seismic activity in the past 24 hours, with 58 earthquakes of varying magnitudes hitting in the approximate 10-mile stretch between Anderson Springs and Cobb. The impacted area includes The Geysers.
There have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
