Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Wednesday, April 29, 2020 an expansion of the state's Farm to Family program aimed at connecting struggling farmers and ranchers with the growing number of people seeking assistance at food banks during the Covid-19 crisis.
Some of the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank’s pop-up pantries to provide food to those in need are relocating.
The relocations are because of the recent slew of reopenings across San Francisco and Marin counties, and several pop-up pantries at school sites will move next week as more schools reopen.
The Food Bank, which assists 55,000 households a week, is also expanding eligibility for home grocery delivery.
