An armed suspect has been arrested in Antioch following a standoff with police that began Friday night.
Antioch police officers responded Friday at 11 p.m. to a report of shots fired at multiple addressed in the 2200 block of Mandarin Way.
Officers learned that Sudan Holland, 39, arrived at one of the residences and started acting paranoid and began firing shots inside the house, police said.
The shots also hit neighboring homes.
Officers were able to evacuate the residence and some neighboring homes and learned Holland was still armed inside, police said.
A SWAT team responded to the scene and ultimately located Holland locked in a bathroom inside the home.
After Holland repeatedly refused to surrender, the SWAT team deployed chemical agents through the bathroom door, and the suspect ultimately surrendered and was taken into custody.
Holland was taken to the hospital for treatment for the chemical exposure and was later arrested.
