A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two subjects who assaulted and robbed a United States Postal Service letter carrier on Tuesday.

The robbery happened about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 1900 block of Calaveras Drive in Bay Point, where two subjects robbed a carrier, took mail from his delivery vehicle and fled in a white, late-model Dodge Challenger.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at (877) 876-2455 (say “Law Enforcement”). Officials say all information will be kept strictly confidential.
