Mayor’s State of the City address to focus on ‘better normal’ in 2021

San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo on Tuesday evening will give his annual “State of the City” address for 2020, a year in which San Jose has dealt with the Covid-19 pandemic, wildfires and other ongoing issues.

Liccardo will give the speech at 6 p.m. and residents can watch it on the mayor’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SamLiccardo1.

The mayor’s office said Liccardo’s speech will talk about how the city has worked to create a “new normal” for residents in 2020 amid the pandemic, and how San Jose will work to make it a “better normal” in 2021.

Liccardo initially took office in 2015 and was re-elected as mayor in 2018.
